Twitterer Reaction to Simon Cowell News
Online-conversation-monitoring firm Crimson Hexagon examined 1,500 opinion tweets related to Monday’s announcement that Simon Cowell would leave Fox’s American Idol to host his own show, The X Factor, and discovered several different reactions, according to Mashable.
Twitter users’ judging of Idol‘s harshest judge broke down as follows: 36% were disappointed; 23% ripped into CNN for considering the story to be breaking news; 17% believe the American Idol dynasty is over; 12% stated that they never watched Idol in the first place; and 11% had already moved on and were discussing The X Factor.
