Twitter Users Must Now Manually Accept PMs From Accounts They Don’t Follow

Twitter quietly implemented a privacy tweak this week within its private messaging feature.

The social network confirmed to Kurt Wagner of Recode that users who receive PMs from accounts they don’t already follow must manually accept those messages before reading them.

This change was rolled out to all users this week, Twitter told Wagner.
