Twitter to Shutter Stand-Alone Periscope Videostreaming App by March

Down, Periscope: Twitter will pull the plug on its stand-alone videostreaming application by March 2021.

The social network acquired Periscope in March 2015 and almost immediately rolled out an iOS version of the app.

Mobile app intelligence provider Sensor Tower said Periscope had been installed over 101 million times worldwide via Google Play and the iTunes App Store.
