Twitter Removes 71 Accounts Based in Ghana and Nigeria

They were associated with Russia and targeting the U.S.

Twitter recently removed 71 accounts that were operating out of Ghana and Nigeria, associated with Russia and presenting themselves as U.S.-based.

The social network said in a Twitter Safety tweet that the accounts were mostly tweeting in English and engaging in conversations about social issues, such as race and civil rights.
