New From Twitter: Real-Time, Interactive Notifications

Earlier this week Twitter announced a redesign that many felt was a bit too close to the look of its great rival, Facebook. Now, Twitter has introduced another new feature to Twitter.com, real-time notifications, which also appear to be Facebook-like in implementation.

The new notifications appear automatically when another user engages with you on Twitter, and you can respond right within the notification. Of course, Facebook has had notifications pop-up above the interface for some time now, and at first glance this does look like Twitter has borrowed another feature from Mark Zuckerberg’s behemoth.*
