Twitter Brings You The NBA Playoffs: Support Your Team, Customize Your Profile And Help #BeatTheLakers

With the NBA playoffs due to start this Saturday, April 16, there’s a new post on the official Twitter blog which details all the resources for basketball fans, and both veterans and rookies should be satisfied.

Twitter has created an official list of all the teams in the NBA, which includes East favourites Chicago, Boston and Miami, and San Antonio, Dallas and the Lakers in the West.

Over 200 players in the NBA are active on the platform, including old-school favourites such as @ScottiePippen, @RickaFox, @MagicJohnson, @DennisRodman and @KAJ33.

You can show your support by adopting a customized NBA team background on your profile, courtesy of Tweety Got Back.

Recommended pundits to follow during the Playoffs include @NBAonESPN, @ChadFordInsider, @RicBucher, @Stein_Line_hq.

Of course, cynics might say that this is quite the timely announcement on the back of our report earlier today about Kobe Bryant’s apology and $100,000 fine for using a gay slur during Tuesday night’s Lakers game, of which Twitter played a significant role.

But that’s just a coincidence, right?
