Twitter has named Omid Kordestani its executive chairman. Kordestani was previously Google’s chief business officer. He had been with Google since 2009.
“It’s rare you get to be at a company with an amazing business that’s also transforming the world. I’ve had good fortune to be at three: Netscape,@google, and now @twitter,” tweeted Kordestani.
The announcement comes one day after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey announced he was cutting roughly eight percent of the company’s workforce.
