Twitter Introduces a Portal for Academic Researchers

They can apply to tap into its APIs

Twitter unveiled a new portal for academic researchers seeking to tap its application-programming interfaces for their work.

Academic researchers can apply for access to the social network’s APIs, details on those APIs and other tools.

Twitter’s standard API is publicly available to all approved researchers and free-of-charge to use, while its premium API, available on a month-to-month subscription basis, enables researchers to access the entire public history of tweets via Boolean queries.

The social network’s enterprise API provides the same information as the premium API, along with increased levels of access and additional reliability tools and filtering capabilities.
