Twitter users who vote in elections throughout the U.S. Tuesday can activate a hashtag-triggered emoji by including #IVoted in their tweets.
Senior public policy manager Bridget Coyne detailed other Election Day-related Twitter initiatives in a blog post:
- The social network teamed up with the organizers of National Voter Registration Day in September to host a discussion about the importance of staying connected, both online and in the polling booth, and starting with registering to vote.
