Crash reporting startup Crashlytics has been purchased by Twitter, the company announced yesterday. The move follows the shaky launch of Twitter’s new video-sharing app, Vine.

Crashlytics shows developers the exact line of code that caused the crash so that they can fix the problem more quickly. The company has worked on iOS apps for Vine (now owned by Twitter), Yelp, Kayak, TaskRabbit, and Waze.

Following the sale, Crashlytics will remain operational, but will “leverage Twitter’s infrastructure to deliver new features faster than ever,” according to a blog post.

The company has raised a total of $6 million in seed and series A funding from Baseline Ventures, Flybridge Capital Partners, and other investors.
