Twitter Shows That It Will Still Take Its Swings at Livestreaming Sports

The social network will livestream Saturday night’s WBO Lightweight World Championship bout

Twitter may have lost out on retaining its National Football League livestreaming package, but that hasn’t stopped it from throwing jabs and hooks at other sports.

Banner Promotions and Twitter announced Wednesday that the social network will livestream Saturday night’s World Boxing Organization Lightweight World Championship bout free-of-charge to logged-in and logged-out Twitter users in the U.S.

The boxing match will be available via boxing.twitter.com and @BannerBoxing, and the exact start time will be announced later this week.

Undefeated (32-0, 13 knockouts) champion Terry Flanagan will take on No.
