Apple’s keynote on Tuesday generated a ton of buzz on Twitter (and everywhere else), with activity on the social network peaking at a heady 32,305 tweets per minute (TPM) when the Apple Watch was unveiled.
During the presentation Apple shared a few images showing how Twitter will look on their new wearable. Twitter is one of the third party app developers that have been granted early access to the software development kit (SDK) for the Apple Watch, and the what we’ve seen so far is very interesting.
(A big hat tip to Quartz for these images.)
Look again at that third image, below Timeline – it says “New and interesting”. Is this an early indication of Twitter’s move towards an algorithmic timeline, or is the Apple Watch going to show a condensed version of Twitter, perhaps for ease-of-use/quick viewing?
I guess we don’t know until the Watch is released next year. In the meantime, what do you think? Is having Twitter on your wrist enough of a reason to make you want an Apple Watch?
