Twitter: 265M+ Tweets Worldwide Since March 15 About Being Thankful and Grateful
Usage of those terms was up 37% versus the previous month
Twitter released a hashtag-triggered emoji that will be added to tweets containing #thankful, #grateful and a few other variations of the words.
The social network said there have been more than 265 million tweets worldwide about being thankful and grateful since March 15, and usage of those terms was up 37% since March 15 as compared to the previous month.
The pray and clap emojis have also seen gains during that same time period, of 50% and 10%, respectively.
The things that Twitter users have been most thankful for, based on their tweets, are:
- Medical workers
- Grocery workers
- Family
- Cleaning and sanitation workers
- Friends
