The final out of the seventh and final game of the 2017 World Series generated 62,000 tweets per minute, making it Twitter’s most-tweeted-about moment during the Fall Classic.

The top three World Series moments on Twitter were:

  1. The Houston Astros beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in game seven to win the championship.
  2. Carlos Correa hits a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of game five to give the Astros an 11-8 lead.
  3. Alex Bregman hits a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning of game five to give the Astros a 13-12 win.
