Twitter Nominated For Best Community In 2011 Webby Awards
The Webby Awards, an international event presented annually by The International Academy Of Digital Arts and Sciences which acknowledges excellence on the internet, have released their list of the nominees for 2011.
Over 100 awards are given in four distinct categories – websites, interactive advertising, online film and video, and mobile – and these are then further broken down into sub-categories, with 70 prizes available in the websites field alone.
And it’s in this area that Twitter has received its nomination, under Community.
Twitter’s competition is pretty eclectic and includes Tumblr, Openideo, Cuteness.com
