Twitpic Will 'Live On' as Mystery Buyer Emerges

Earlier this month we reported on the news that Twitpic had decided to shutdown on September 25th, largely because of a trademark conflict with Twitter.

Now, the company has tweeted that it won’t be closing down after all, having been acquired by an unknown third party.

Here’s the tweet:

We’re happy to announce we’ve been acquired and Twitpic will live on! We will post more details as we can disclose them
