Twentieth Television to Cast Don't Forget the Lyrics! with MySpace Karaoke

MySpaceDontForgetTheLyrics.jpgTwentieth Television is bringing musical game show Don’t Forget the Lyrics! to syndication this fall, and it named MySpace Karaoke as its official casting partner.

Users of the social-networking service will be able to audition on the Don’t Forget the Lyrics! community page by uploading their recordings of songs including No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak,” Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets,” Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi,” Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me,” and The Rolling Stones’ “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction.”

MySpace executive director of business development and MySpace Karaoke general manager Mari Bower wrote on the MySpace Blog:

Karaoke is something we’ve all probably done at some point in our life, maybe unwillingly, but we’ve all done it! While we can’t say our performances are all Idol-worthy, we can all agree that it’s extremely entertaining to watch. MySpace Karaoke is excited to announce its television debut as the official casting partner of Twentieth Television’s musical game show, Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, which premieres in syndication this fall.

Fans of MySpace Karaoke are extremely dedicated to our platform, and we’re always looking for new ways to give them exclusive access to their favorite artists. We recently wrapped promotions with artists including Train and Sarah McLachlan. Our recent contest with Lady Antebellum received nearly 4,700 entries, making it the most successful country contest in MySpace Karaoke history!
