TV Traffic Report Includes Live Social Media Updates

To bring up-to-the minute traffic reporting to the Twitter feed, KING 5 in Seattle has partnered with Radiate Media on a broadcast system that connects reporters’ tweets to the screen during on-air broadcasts.

The reporting tool is called CommuteVantage CONNECT. It’s a 2D and 3D mapping tool that functions like the “traffic” layer on Google Maps, but the reporters can update it in real time with videos and pop-up reports of what’s actually happening on the scene.
