TuneCore described the new tools in a release:
Facebook Audio Recognition makes it easy for Facebook users to share the songs they’re listening to. If the feature is turned on, then songs picked up by their microphones will be matched using audio recognition, and the user can choose to add the song to a status or wall post — complete with song name, cover art and artist name. TuneCore artists now have the option to add their music to Facebook, providing artists yet another channel to get more of their music heard by more fans.
Using TwitMusic, artists can easily set up promotions that will get their fans excited to spread the word about their music. Musicians can run engaging contests including the popular Cover Art Unlock, as well as incentivize fans to share or follow by offering benefits such as free streams and downloads. Artists get the benefit of the increased conversation and having more people hear their songs, all while gaining information about fans that can be used to plan future tours and releases.
