RadarOnline reports that People West Coast bureau chief Todd Gold has been accused of sexual harassment by a 29-year old reporter:

Confronted with the allegations, People management quickly seized the pair’s office computers (which, we hear, contained “incriminating e-mails”) but opted not to launch a full-fledged investigation, since “Gold has his hands in too many projects that they have high hopes for,” another insider says. Instead, we’re told, they allowed the woman to transfer to another Time Inc. publication. Gold was put on indefinite “book leave,” ostensibly to write a tell-all with Laci Peterson’s mother, Sharon Rocha.

Gold, in fact, has written a couple dozen celebrity-hack books with titles like Bark at the Moon: The Official Osbourne Pet Book, Pryor Connections (used copies of which sell for $80 on Amazon!), and, by my count, two (2!) Michael Jackson biographies. I hope this incident doesn’t stall his distinguished belles-lettres career.
