budgettravel072010.jpgIf all of your passport pages are filled with stamps, and you’ve got serious love for the written word, listen up. BudgetTravel.com is looking for an online deputy editor to assign, edit, write, and top-edit smart service-driven content for the vacation site.

If hired, you’ll also oversee Budget Travel’s blog, manage junior staff and be responsible for creating engaging material for the Budget Travel’s digital products and social networks. You’ll be asked to attend industry events to promote the brand, so a passion for your product and everything travel-related is a must. No proponents of the “staycation,” please.

To be considered you should have five to seven years of experience working at an editorial Web site. The company specifically wants its ideal candidate to be “travel-wonky, service-minded and ruthless with copy.” A good sense of humor won’t hurt either. If all of the above describes you, apply here.
