Totenberg Receives High Honor

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has named NPR’s legal affairs correspondent Nina Totenberg the recipient of its 2010 Edward R. Murrow Award. The Murrow is considered to be the public media industry’s most prestigious award; Nina was recognized for her overall body of work in her 35-year career at NPR.

Totenberg’s reports air regularly on NPR’s All Things Considered, Morning Edition, and Weekend Edition.

Born: New York
College: She studied journalism at Boston University, but dropped out because, she has said, she “wasn’t doing brilliantly.”
