Tonight’s Episode of Washington Week Is a Tribute to Gwen Ifill

Ifill will be remembered by "those who knew her best."

At the time of her death Monday from cancer, Gwen Ifill had anchored two shows–PBS NewsHour, with Judy Woodruff, and Washington Week, where she had been managing editor and moderator since 1999. NewsHour honored Ifill Monday night by devoting almost its entire show to the much-respected and beloved journalist, and Washington Week is following suit tonight.

The program is devoted to “Gwen’s remarkable life and legacy with the friends and colleagues who knew her best,” according to the announcement.

Those guests include former NPR host and Race Card Project creator Michele Norris, The Washington Post political reporter Dan Balz, ABC News chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz, Washington Post national political correspondent Karen Tumulty, NBC News justice correspondent Pete Williams, NPR congressional reporter Susan Davis, STAT News executive editor Rick Berke and Real Clear Politics White House correspondent Alexis Simendinger.
