Facebook continues to treat users’ name days the same way it treats their birthdays, as some users are seeing notifications for name days in the right-hand-corner of their News Feeds, right above birthdays.
Reader Thodoris Konsoulas shared the screenshot above, as well as a screenshot last week of Facebook prompting him to add his name day.
Name Day is not particularly well-known in the U.S., as it is more of a tradition in some European and Latin American countries, where days on the calendar correspond with specific names, often having to do with saints, depending on location and religion.
