Times Community News Expands Into Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley

The LA Times just laid off a few big names from its news room. And up to 50% of workers in the press room may soon be out of work. But the small group of community papers under its Times Community News umbrella are expanding. The media group is set to launch two new weekly papers: The Pasadena Sun will be a Friday paper covering Pasadena, South Pasadena and San Marino, and the Sunday Valley Sun will run on (duh) Sundays and cover the San Gabriel Valley.
