Time Inc. Reaches Tentative Contract Agreement With Newspaper Guild
The Newspaper Guild of New York today announced that it has come to tentative terms with Time Inc. for a three-year contract.
The Guild said that the new contract would include annual pay raises, increased job security and more flexibility for management in doling out tasks to union employees. Off-the-record contract negotiations had been going on since January. Around 300 Time Inc. employees — at magazines like Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and People — are members of the Guild.
