Time Inc. Folds All You

The December issue will be its last.

ay-1446361200-225x300Time Inc. is folding All You, the monthly magazine that debuted in 2004. According to a memo from Time Inc. executive vp Evelyn Webster, the December issue will be its last. All You’s site—allyou.com—will cease operations at the end of the year.

Unfortunately, when a magazine folds, many people end up unemployed. Webster noted that “We are taking immediate steps to place as many All You employees as possible within the company,” but that will likely only apply to those high on the masthead.

Two staffers specifically cited include Clare McHugh and Greg Schumann. McHugh will remain as group editor of Essence, Health, Sunset and This Old House. Schumann also continues as group publisher of Southern Living, Sunset and Coastal Living.

“We will continue to leverage and diversify our brands into new revenue streams, and sometimes, like today, that means making the decision to move on from a brand that many of us care about,” wrote Webster. “These are not easy decisions, but they are necessary as we evolve our company.”
