TikTok recently debuted a new feature called Stitch, which allows users to clip a portion from another user’s video and use at the beginning of their own video. Our guide will show you how to Stitch someone’s video in the TikTok mobile application.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the TikTok app on iOS.

Step 1: When you find a video you want to Stitch, tap the share icon (the arrow) near the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap “Stitch.” Note: Content creators have the option to prevent users from being able to Stitch their content, so this option may be unavailable.

Step 3: Use the slider at the bottom of the screen to choose the portion of the video you want to clip, and then tap “Next” in the top-right corner of the screen.

Step 4: Tap the capture button at the bottom of the screen to record your own clip. This clip will be played after the portion you clipped from the other user’s video.

Step 5: When you’re done recording, tap the checkmark icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

From there, you can continue editing your post as normal before sharing it to your feed.
