TikTok Creates Dedicated Page to Mark Juneteenth

The video creation app teamed up with BlkFreedom.org on a special video presentation

TikTok created a dedicated page within its application for Juneteenth Friday containing resources about the holiday and Black history, as well as informational and thoughtful videos from creators.

A #Juneteenth banner on the app’s Discover page brings up a list of social justice organizations that users can support.

TikTok also teamed up with BlkFreedom.org to connect to its special initiative with six Black museums and historical institutions from across the U.S.

A video presentation will feature: Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden, the first woman and first African American to lead the Library of Congress; Johnnetta Cole, anthropologist, educator, museum director and the first Black woman to serve as president of Spelman College; and Lonnie G.
