Tikatok, Barnes & Noble's Self-Publishing Site for Children
In September 2009, Barnes & Noble purchased Tikatok.com, a writing and publishing site for children developed in association with a team from MIT. Yesterday, Barnes & Noble unveiled some of its plans for its new acquisition.
The site enables kids (with their parents’ help) to write stories and turn them into POD books. It features resources for kids to learn the writing process as well. To promote the site, Barnes & Noble will be holding a series of in-store workshops for kids.
