Ticket Buyers on SeatGeek’s Mobile App Can Still Save Their Stubs … on Snapchat

The integration allows users to create stickers to add to their photo and video Snaps

Ticket buyers using the SeatGeek application can now launch the Snapchat app and create a sticker representing their ticket stubs, which can be added to their Snaps.

SeatGeek used Snapchat’s Snap Kit set of application-programming interfaces to create the integration between the two apps.

The ticketing app said 63 percent of its sales in 2018 have occurred via mobile devices, and about 60 percent of people are using codes on their phones to gain access to events, rather than physical tickets or print-outs of PDF files, adding that this integration with Snapchat will provide a way for people to remember the events they attended via photo and video Snaps, with the absence of an actual ticket stub.

The integration with Snapchat joins other integrations that are part of mobile tickets on SeatGeek, including directions to event venues from Apple Maps and Google Maps, direct links...
