Thumbplay Automated OPEN Service Adds Functionality for Content Partners

Mobile entertainment company Thumbplay has added more functionality to its OPEN service, which was launched in beta in September. Targeted at independent, long-tail artists/content companies and web site developers/publishers, the OPEN service looks to help these companies more easily leverage mobile to upload, manage and monetize content. Today, Thumbplay is promoting that it now has thousands of developers and has added online reporting and a “Top Charts” API.

While Thumbplay is looking to diversify its content line-up and add value to its content partners, it has experienced some bumps in the road of late.
