Thomson, Travel Buddy: Pals for 5 Years
UK tour operator Thomson has signed a five-year deal with mobile content provider Travel Buddy to offer travelers all sorts of helpful info right on their cell phone, Travolution reports.
Through an opt-in service, Travel Buddy provides Thomson’s customers with weather, emergency numbers, local events and other travel-related stuff for 1,200 destinations. It also has a translator that includes 11 languages.
The new contract extends the original one-year partnership the pair had forged earlier.
