This Week In Viral Videos - August 6, 2010

This week we've had a lot of opportunity to exercise our laugh muscles here at Social Times, thanks to a whole slew of absolutely hilarious viral videos that have been circulating the web. Here are our picks for the top five most chuckle-inducing videos, including a throwback to the educational computer game 'Oregon Trail', a spoof of the new Facebook movie trailer, a little piggy that cried "Wee, wee, weeeeee" all the way home and more. An Alabama man named Antoine Dodson became an instant meme at the end of last week when a news story was uploaded to YouTube featuring him warning a perpetrator that came into his sister's room in the middle of the night. In the interview he says, "Well obviously we have a rapist in Lincoln Park. He's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up, trying to rape them, so you need to hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husband, because they're raping everybody out here." The video began spreading instantly and this week a plethora of remixes have hit YouTube and spread like wildfire. The most popular remix, uploaded by Auto-Tune The News, has garnered a whopping 4.1 million views in five days. Check out the remix below and let us know what you think in the comments. New GEICO Commercial - Piggy I think I must have watched this GEICO commercial at least 30 times over the course of this week. Uploaded to YouTube a couple of weeks ago, the video only took off this week and now it has over 1 million views. The GEICO Gecko is not in this commercial, but it does star a new animal buddy - a little piggy names Maxwell that knows how to cry "Wee, wee, wee" like a champ. Meet Me On Facebook Sudanese YouTube rap sensation Bangs is back with a new hit - Meet Me On Facebook. The song, which comes off of Bangs' new album 'I'm Still Moving On' is pretty ridiculous and has been viewed over 239,000 views since it was uploaded to YouTube three days ago. Think you'll get Bangs' new album? The Video Website A few days ago a hilarious Social Network spoof trailer hit the web. Instead of being about Facebook, 'The Video Website' trailer is for a highly dramatized and fictionalized film about the creation of YouTube. For anyone who spends their days with their nose in YouTube, this video is hilarious. Not to mention the fact that it beautifully pokes fun at the ridiculousness of 'The Social Network' Facebook movie. Love it.
