This week we've got an eccentric selection of videos for ya, from an artsy music video project to a street-crossing pigeon, Kevin Bacon as his own biggest fan, and a whole bunch of dead celebrities. Check them out after the jump!

We’re in the midst of the holiday season – last week we stuffed ourselves with turkey and yams, this week we’re spinning our dreidels, and in only a few weeks we’ll be waking up to stockings full of presents. For most of us, the last thing we want to be thinking about right now is work. The good news is, it’s Friday, which means not only that the weekend is just around the corner but that we’ve got a selection of the best viral videos of the week, to help you end your workweek with a smile on your face.

This week we’ve got an eccentric selection of videos for ya, from an artsy music video project to a street-crossing pigeon, Kevin Bacon as his own biggest fan, and a whole bunch of dead celebrities. Sit back, relax and enjoy as you get ready for a festive weekend, no doubt filled with lots of traffic in mall parking garages, hot chocolate, and some holiday music on the radio.

I Hope This Gets To You

I love, love, love the idea for this project almost as I love the video itself. Walter C. May, a dude who just so happens to be roommates with the members of the band The Daylights, created this video for his girlfriend who recently moved across the country for graduate school. He didn’t tell his girlfriend about the video, wanting it to get to her organically, through tweets, Facebook posts, emails and word of mouth. Within a few short days it did!

Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole thing was a hoax to help promote the Daylights. After all, they did tweet about the “brilliant viral video” featuring their new track just a day after Walter uploaded the video to YouTube and today the song is #18 in Rock on the iTunes Store, sandwiched right between ‘Hey Jude’ and ‘Imagine’. Just sayin’…this bears a lot of the signs of a hoax. Even if the whole girlfriend bit it true, I’m pretty sure the point of this video was to promote the band, more than for Walter to profess hs love. However, whether or not the story of Walter and his girlfriend is a hoax, ‘I Hope This Gets To You’ is still an awesome song, an awesome video, and a fantastic concept. Check it out below.

Digital Death

If you follow any A-list celebs on Twitter then you have probably already heard that many of your favorite actors, singers and celebrities have gone AWOL in honor of World AIDS Day. Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Ryan Seacrest, Usher, and others have gone quiet on social networks and we won’t be hearing a tweet out of them until $1 million has been donated at So far $183,078 has been donated, but there’s still a ways to go. How long do you think it will take to raise $1 million and bring these celebrities back to life?

Logitech Revue with Google TV – Kevin Bacon

Ever wondered who Kevin Bacon’s biggest fan is? Well, apparently it’s none other than…Kevin Bacon!

Just a Pigeon Crossing The Street

“Hey, what’s this?” “Oh, that’s just a pigeon crossing the street.” This pigeon was caught on camera crossing the street in Adana, Turkey. I’m sorry, but this just makes my day. I like to imagine that he’s carrying a briefcase and holding a newspaper under his wing.

Мега прикол

This wedding video went randomly viral this week. It features the not-so-happy couple trying, unsuccessfully, to do some sort of fancy wedding toast. What do you think was going through their heads?

BONUS: Kitty Barrel Roll

This video hasn’t been viewed quite as much as the other videos on our list this week, but I just had to share it. Pancake, Barrel Roll!
