This Week In Viral Videos – Forget Christmas, I Just Had Sex!

This week we bring you Shaq the orchestral conductor, the evolution of the tablet, a technology spoof, a YouTube partner milestone, and the latest hit single from Lonely Island, 'I Just Had Sex!' Enjoy!

I know it’s Christmas Eve and all, but to tell you the truth I’m all X-Mas’d out! For the last two weeks I’ve been hard at work putting together holiday lists – 10 videos to watch on Christmas morning, video proof that Santa exists, a festive YouTube playlist, bizarre Santas, amazing Christmas lights and on and on. That’s why I’ve decided that for our weekly viral video roundup this week holiday videos are off limits! So instead of Antoine Dodson’s ‘Chimney Intruder’ and cats ‘n dogs singing ‘Jingle Bells’, we bring you Shaq the orchestral conductor, the evolution of the tablet, a technology spoof, a YouTube partner milestone, and the latest hit single from Lonely Island, ‘I Just Had Sex!’

I Just Had Sex (feat. Akon) – NSFW

With over 13.5 million views in the first week alone, ‘I Just Had Sex’ has been a massive success. The huge number of views might have something to do with the fact that the video features not only Akon but also Jessica Alba, Blake Lively and John McEnroe. However, I am more inclined to believe that the millions of views are due to the songs deep lyrics and subject matter. I have never felt more enlightened.

My Blackberry Is Not Working

‘My Blackberry Is Not Working!’, a hilarious sketch from the BBC show The One Ronnie has gotten nearly 1.5 million views since it was uploaded four days ago. This one nearly had me in tears I was laughing so hard. “My Blackberry is not working. It’s completely frozen!”

Shaquille O’Neal Conducts The Boston Pops

OK, I know I said no Christmas videos. But I think the fact that this video features Shaq making his conducting debut trumps the fact that they are playing the holiday favorite ‘Sleigh Ride’. Shaq is awesome, and that’s all I have to say about that.

3,000,000 subscribers!

This week Ryan Higa, aka nigahiga, made YouTube history when he surpassed the 3 million subscribers mark. His video about the milestone has been viewed over 1.7 million times.

Tablet Evolution presented by Motorola

Motorola launched a cool video called ‘Tablet Evolution’ this week, which has been viewed nearly 1 million times. It heads through time from ancient Egypt to the present day, museum-style, critiquing hieroglyphic tablets, the 10 commandments, the iPad, and more. Apparently the Motorola CES 2011 will be the next big thing in the evolution of tablet technology. I can’t wait to see what this thing can do!
