This Week In Viral Videos - August 13, 2010

At the end of a long work week there's nothing like a few hilarious viral videos to get you ready for the weekend. This week our viral video roundup includes a little anti-Bieber sentiment, a crazed McDonald's customer, a not-so-sensitive boyfriend, a hilarious response to PETA and an homage to the infamous JetBlue flight attendant, Steven Slater. Justin Bieber Gets Nailed By a Water Bottle Just as many people love to hate Justin Bieber as love to love him, and this video, which got over 6 million views this week, is testament to that fact. At least he was able to respond with dignity to getting slammed in the head with a water bottle. Ouch. McNugget Rampage A security cam video of a Toledo woman freaking out because McDonald's wouldn't serve her chicken nuggets at 6:30 in the morning went viral this week, with over 1.3 million views. Earlier this week, I wrote a post asking why there weren't more remixes of the clip. Over the last few days, one remix has started getting some attention with nearly 40,000 views. Check out the original, which has no sound, and the remix, which has added dialogue to the clip, below. The Original: The Remix: Dodge vs. PETA PETA had a problem with a new ad recently released by Dodge that featured a monkey in a little costume. In a tongue-in-cheek response to PETA's complaint, Dodge digitally removed the monkey from the clip and re-released it, calling it an "invisible monkey". Take 1: Take 2: Boyfriend becomes "The Bailer" A video of a guy jumping out of the way of the ball at a baseball game, leaving his girlfriend in the line of fire to be hit, has garnered nearly 700,000 views on YouTube this week. But I have to say, if I was him I probably would have jumped out of the way too. Do you think he deserves his new title, "The Bailer"? Steven Slater When JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater had an F-Bomb meltdown on a flight in JFK earlier this week, grabbed two beers and slid down the emergency chute he became an instant meme. The news story was all the talk on Twitter, a lot of YouTube coverage and Steven even got his own song. Check out the news story and "The Ballad of Steven Slater" below.
