This Week In Viral Videos

Hello viral video fans! We hope you had a fantastic week and are getting ready for a nice relaxing weekend. This week we've got a couple of Old Spice-inspired clips, a rebuttal from ex-Best Buy employee Brian Maupin, a hilarious throwback to vintage video games, and some freaking creepy cows. Mel Gibson phone call rant to Old Spice (NSFW) Over the past week we've seen the Old Spice guy respond to a huge number of individuals in the brand's recent YouTube response campaign. But how does the man your man could smell like respond to Mel Gibson? A new animated video using audio from Old Spice's response videos, uploaded to YouTube earlier this week, features Mel calling the manly Old Spice guy. The clip is a little NSFW because of strong language, but it's totally worth watching. New Spice | Study like a scholar, scholar This clip, created to promote the Harold B. Lee Library, is the most popular Old Spice spoof video, with over 1.5 million views. Haven't seen it yet? Check it out below. If Games Had Super Easy Mode Every now and then a video appears online that is just so smart and funny that you want to share it with everyone you know. For me, the most share-worthy clip of the week was College Humor's 'If Games Had Super Easy Mode.' It takes you through all the best vintage video games and makes them super, ridiculously, easy. Check out 1:19 for a good laugh. TweetFired Brian Maupin, ex-Best Buy employee and creator of the popular iPhone4 vs HTC Evo viral YouTube hit, released a new video this week. TweetFired tells the story of an employee at the fictitious Stacks o' Slacks store, threatened with being fired for his tweets. TweetFired is a tongue-in-cheek jab at Best Buy, who threatened to fire Maupin because of his viral YouTube clip. Check it out below. cows & cows & cows I'm not really sure what to say about this video. It features a bunch of cows dancing and then mutating into giant spiders. It's really creepy, but there is something strangely intriguing and mesmerizing about it. Over 1 million viewers have watched this clip in the last week.
