Not a busy week this week, but with a fender bender and a picnic, do we really need anything else? "The two-block journey to the American Red Cross National Headquarters began eventfully, when, at roughly 11:04 a.m., a groundskeeper on the south lawn backed the green John Deere tractor he was driving into the motorcycle designated to lead President Bush's motorcade. No one was on the motorcycle at the time of the accident. The tractor had an orange cart hitched to the back. A cluster of people, including the officer and the tractor's driver, gathered around the motorcycle to assess the damage. They apparently deemed it safe for travel, as the officer drove it to the Red Cross headquarters a few minutes later. (It was unclear whether the groundskeeper was ticketed for the accident)." -- Jennifer A. The lawn was filled with wooden picnic tables covered with red and white table clothes. Several tents were set up to serve food, and there were balloons and sno-cones and a bubble machine for the children of members of Congress and their staffs.
