The Wrap's Joe Adalian Bolts for NY Mag's 'Vulture'

That was quick. After only nine months, The Wrap's Joe Adalian is leaving and taking his TV MoJoe blog to New York Magazine's entertainment site "Vulture." Press release after the jump: New York, NY, April 21, 2010 -- Nymag.com Editorial Director Ben Williams announced today that Joe Adalian is joining the Vulture entertainment and culture team as West Coast Editor, as part of the ongoing expansion of the site's entertainment community. Using his nearly twenty years of experience reporting on the television industry for TheWrap.com, TV Week, Variety, and the New York Post, Adalian will be breaking news and doing analysis about TV for Vulture. He joins Claude Brodesser-Akner, who covers the film industry for Vulture, on the West Coast. "Joe is a big hire for us in terms of rounding out our coverage of the entertainment industry," says nymag.com Editorial Director Ben Williams. "Fans already know and love Vulture for its must-read TV recaps and insightful critical takes, and we'll now also feature original reporting with an insiderâ€™s perspective on the business behind the shows." Also joining Vulture is Willa Paskin, as associate editor in the New York office. Paskin has previously worked at Radar, BlackBook, Double X and Variety. She will also be focusing on TV, covering news trends, stars, and top shows from a pop-culture-savvy, fan-based perspective. Adalian was most recently the TV editor at TheWrap.com and previously a columnist for TV Week, where he created the TV MoJoe blog that he continued and expanded at The Wrap. He spent ten years as TV editor at Variety, and has also covered television at the New York Post, Washington Times, and Boston Herald. Traffic has been growing rapidly at Vulture, with March 2010 setting records for both unique users and page views. Unique users at Vulture have doubled over the last six months, to 1.9 million in March 2010, while page views have more than tripled over the same period, to 10.7 million in March 2010 (Omniture SiteCatalyst, March 2010 / October 2009). Advertising revenue at Vulture is up 65% year-to-date over the same period last year.
