The World's Oldest Newspaper to Go All-Digital

Llyod’s List, the world’s oldest newspaper, is ending its print edition and going all-digital. The British paper has been publishing shipping industry news since 1734. Its last print edition will be December 20.

The paper’s editor, Richard Meade, explained that Lloyd’s List was going all-digital because a survey of its readers revealed that less than two percent of its readers preferred reading it in print. Meade explained that “a digital platform offers new avenues and platforms for the richer delivery and more effective sharing of information.
