The Top Young Guns Build a Better Courtyard for P.S.1 (or at least hope to)

By way of Archinect today, we learned that the finalists have been announced for P.S.1 and the MoMA’s Young Architects Program. The award, now in its eighth year, picks a handful of competitors (five firms this time), and gives them a small amount of money to layout plans for P.S.1’s summer courtyard. The winner then gets $70,000 to build the thing for real. Here’s the list:

Lisa Iwamoto and Craig Scott of IwamotoScott, San Francisco; Benjamin Ball and Gaston Nogues of Ball-Nogues, Los Angeles; Mark Foster Gage of Gage Clemenceau, New York, NY; Michael Meredith and Hilary Sample of MOS, New York; and David Ruy and Karel Klein of Ruy Klein, New York.
