Neon Tommy’s Paresh Dave spoke with LA Times reporters Jeff Gottlieb and Ruben Vives and tells the story of how the investigation into the Bell City Council’s overblown salaries happened. A little tip from the DA and the pair were off and running.
The story reached a new level when the city clerk called Gottlieb and Vives in late June. Rizzo wanted to talk to them in a hall at a city park. Some documents the Times had requested would be turned over at the meeting.
