  • The Legal Times named Alison Bethel as executive editor. “In her new position, Bethel will oversee coverage of the legal business, lobbying, and Capitol Hill. She will also play a key role in expanding daily news content delivery on the paper’s Web site, www.legaltimes.com. Bethel will report to James Oliphant, editor in chief.” Bethel is leaving the Detroit News as their Washington bureau chief (she’s been there since 2001), and her career has included stints at The Boston Globe, States-Times in Baton Rouge, La.,
