The Pope Is Tweeting Once Per Day For The 40 Days Of Lent

In an effort to remind people to observe Lent, the Pope will be tweeting one gospel theme or message per day for 40 days.

The Pontifical Council for Social Communications has decided that reaching the non-believers and those who have let their Lent observations slide is best done on Twitter.

The 40 days of Lent are traditionally observed by believers in a variety of ways, such as eliminating a favorite food or volunteering to help a charitable organization.
