In Pokémon GO, players begin by creating and customizing Pokémon trainers to represent them on their journeys. From there, users are allowed to capture their first Pokémon in their current locations. When capturing Pokémon, the game switches to an augmented reality view, and it allows players to swipe to toss Poké Balls at the Pokémon.
Once players capture their first Pokémon, they’re encouraged to start moving around the real world to find and capture more.
