Unhappy with the way your favorite players have been rated in EA Sports’ Madden NFL game? You may have a chance to do something about it.

The National Football League is marking its upcoming 100th season with its #NFL100 Experiences of a Lifetime initiative, and it teamed up with the game developer on the Madden Ratings Adjustor contest.

Fans can enter via Twitter and Instagram by tagging @NFL and using the #NFL100Contest hashtag in posts describing their passion for football, their favorite players and what makes them qualified to adjust Madden NFL player ratings.

Entries will be accepted through Aug. 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The winner will receive a trip to a 2019 regular-season game, where he or she will serve as a Madden Ratings Adjustor, wearing official gear on the sideline and evaluating players for the game. The winner will also be digitized into Madden NFL and receive a prize pack of NFL products and a copy of Madden NFL 20.

NFL vice president of special events Pete Abitante said in a release, “More than a centennial celebration of league history, NFL100 shines a spotlight on how football has grown and thrived through the power of our fans, which we call our ‘Fantennial.’ Madden has become an important cultural touchstone around the NFL, and this #NFL100 Experiences of a Lifetime will present a unique and special opportunity for one lucky fan.”

NFL vp and head of gaming and esports Rachel Hoagland added, “We’re thrilled to incorporate Madden into the #NFL100 Experiences of a Lifetime. Madden has been an incredible platform for our fans to deepen their engagement with the sport they love, while at the same time drawing in and inspiring the next generation of fandom.”

And EA Sports Madden ratings adjustor Clint Oldenburg said, “We are excited to celebrate alongside the NFL in their centennial season by honoring the extraordinary passion we see from our Madden fans. The EA Sports Madden NFL ratings adjustors have become a coveted position here at headquarters, and to share that experience with NFL fans is truly something special.” David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
