The New York Post: Really, really wants your personal information, really really needs your patience

Well, we finally got around to registering for the New York Post’s website and typing our new favorite password in its required fields (“fishy-fish,” of course). Trouble is, once you input your name, email, and highly optimistic assessment of your yearly income, you get a message that goes something like this:

“We apologize: We are currently undergoing very heavy traffic to the site.

Please check back in a few minutes and we hope to have access to the site restored. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your readership of NYPOST.COM.”

We actually tried three times and got the smackdown each time. You know what they say, three’s a trend! Oh well, we won’t read Page Six today. Gee, good thing we still have the New York Daily News!
