The Huffington Post Buys Pollster

In anticipation of its political coverage of upcoming elections, The Huffington Post has purchased poll data aggregator Pollster.com.

HuffPo founder Arianna Huffington told The New York Times</i<'s Media Decoder blog that “polling, whether we like it or not, is a big part of how we communicate about politics. And with this, we’ll be able to do it in a deeper way.”

Pollster.com had previously been hosted on (but not owned by) NationalJournal.com, which will likely be a HuffPo rival when it comes to covering looking elections.
