The Condé Cuts Are (Hopefully) Over
Depending on how much you believe the powers that be, the layoffs at Condé Nast are finished. The New York Post reports that Chuck Townsend, CEO of Condé Nast, sent out a memo late yesterday afternoon saying that the waters have calmed:
Given the challenges of the US economy, this required difficult decisions, including the elimination of some staff positions. These changes have been communicated and while businesses must continually evolve, we expect no further announcements related to the 2013 business plans and staffing.
